Kebbi APC figure Adam Fakai says he is stepping back from promoting Tinubu’s administration, citing lack of appreciation from party leaders
Adamu Yahaya, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State popularly known as Adam Fakai, has announced his decision to withdraw support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, citing what he described as a lack of recognition from party leaders.

Fakai made the announcement in a statement, saying he would no longer promote the programmes and activities of the Tinubu administration after spending more than two years highlighting government projects across Nigeria.
The APC supporter said he invested his personal resources, time and energy into documenting and publicising Federal Government initiatives because he believed in President Tinubu’s leadership and development agenda.
According to Fakai, his decision was influenced by what he described as a failure by political leaders at both state and federal levels to acknowledge his efforts or provide encouragement.
He alleged that some prominent figures had used photographs and videos of government projects he documented without contacting him or recognising his contribution.
Fakai said he felt his efforts would have received greater appreciation if he came from another part of the country, adding that the experience contributed to his decision to stop promoting the administration.
Despite withdrawing his support, he expressed gratitude to individuals who encouraged and supported his activities during the period.
Fakai gained attention on social media for travelling to various parts of Nigeria to document major Federal Government projects, sharing images, videos and reports highlighting infrastructure developments and policy initiatives under President Tinubu’s administration.
His activities earned him recognition among supporters of the government’s development programmes, particularly online, where his project updates were widely circulated.
The announcement comes as political activities begin to build momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, with internal discussions and realignments emerging within major political parties.
