2027: We Seek a Nigeria That Works for Everyone — OK Movement

OK Movement Nigeria unity agenda as Obi and Kwankwaso supporters call for inclusive governance, institutional reform, and peaceful politics

OK Movement, a coalition of supporters aligned with former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and New Nigeria Peoples Party figure Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has called for a restructured Nigeria built on unity, institutional integrity, and equal treatment of citizens regardless of political, ethnic, or religious differences.

OK Movement’s Unity Drive for Nigeria was outlined on Thursday by the group’s National Publicity Secretary, Justin Ijeh, during an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’, where he emphasised the need for a functional and inclusive governance system.

Justin Ijeh said the movement envisions a Nigeria where public institutions operate independently without political interference, stressing that governance must be clearly separated from politicking.

According to him, the current system blurs the line between politics and governance, creating inefficiencies that the movement believes must be urgently addressed.

Justin Ijeh added that the group rejects electoral violence and any form of political intimidation, insisting that democratic participation should be peaceful, fair, and respectful.

He further explained that the ideology behind the movement reflects a shared vision between Peter Obi and Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, whom he said are both driven by service-oriented leadership rather than pursuit of power for its own sake.

“The idea is a Nigeria that works for everyone, not just a few,” Justin Ijeh stated, adding that the safety and dignity of citizens must remain central to national governance.

The OK Movement also reiterated its call for institutional reforms that would guarantee accountability, strengthen governance structures, and improve public trust in the democratic process.
