APC Suspends Former Osun Lawmaker Olatunbosun Oyintiloye

APC Ward 01 in Osun State suspends ex-lawmaker Olatunbosun Oyintiloye indefinitely over alleged misconduct and misappropriation of N5.6 million

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 01, Ibokun, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, have announced the indefinite suspension of former State House of Assembly member Olatunbosun Oyintiloye over alleged misconduct.

The decision, dated Thursday, 29 January 2026, and addressed to the Osun State APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, followed a meeting of ward executives, leaders, and members who reportedly deliberated on issues affecting unity and cohesion within the ward.

The letter, signed by 18 ward executives and five leaders, accused Oyintiloye of allegedly taking control of an Executive Assistant (EA) position and N5.6 million without authorisation.

It claimed the funds were originally allocated for ward leaders and alleged that Oyintiloye had already secured a personal EA slot through a third party while holding a federal appointment.

The ward officials further accused the former lawmaker of organising parallel meetings, prolonged absence from ward activities for over three years, and failing to make financial or material contributions despite benefiting from several political appointments.

“In view of the foregoing and his consistent lack of engagement and contributions to ward affairs, it has become necessary to take decisive disciplinary action. Consequently, Hon. Bosun Oyintiloye is hereby suspended indefinitely from Ward One, Ibokun, and shall cease to represent the interests of the ward at any level,” the letter stated.

Reacting to the suspension, Oyintiloye dismissed it as invalid, describing it as a ploy by disgruntled party members.

He alleged that those who signed the letter were not recognised executives and accused them of working for opposition interests in the state.

“The allegations are lies aimed solely at discrediting me. I have reported the matter to the state party leadership,” Oyintiloye said.

He added that the signatories included a previously suspended member, Gbenga Fagbamila, who had been removed for embezzling N7.5 million in 2022.
