Tinubu and Obafemi Hamzat receive major endorsement at Lagos rally as APC leaders kickstart mobilisation ahead of elections
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat have received a major endorsement from party leaders, supporters and political stakeholders during a large congregation prayer session organised by the Renewed Hope Network at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

The Tinubu Hamzat Lagos endorsement rally marked the beginning of fresh mobilisation efforts ahead of upcoming elections, with thousands of party faithful, religious leaders, traditional rulers, and interest groups filling the venue in a show of political strength.
The gathering featured prayers led by leaders of both the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Muslim clerics, with participants offering prayers for national peace, stability, and continued leadership under President Tinubu.
Convener of the Renewed Hope Network and House of Representatives member James Faleke described the turnout as overwhelming, noting that supporters outside the venue far outnumbered those inside, reflecting strong grassroots backing.
Faleke used the occasion to formally endorse President Tinubu for re-election and Dr. Obafemi Hamzat for continued leadership in Lagos governance, urging supporters to intensify voter mobilisation across the state.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led members of the Governance Advisory Council to reaffirm the endorsements, describing the political alignment as unified and consistent across party structures.
Speakers at the event, including former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello and Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa, praised the administration’s performance and described Tinubu’s leadership as foundational to Nigeria’s current political direction.
Hamzat, addressing the gathering, called on supporters to translate enthusiasm into votes, urging disciplined mobilisation and sustained grassroots engagement ahead of the polls.
He stressed the importance of collective effort, stating that continuity in leadership would help consolidate existing development structures in Lagos and at the national level.
The rally also highlighted internal calls for unity within the party, with leaders encouraging reconciliation among members ahead of the electoral season.
